Hi, I'm Zinta.

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Welcome! I am happy you found me.

I have always felt pulled towards a career in therapy, even as far back as high school. I am fascinated by people - why we think the ways we do, why we feel what we feel, and how our experiences impact us.

I thought it was important to get to know my adult self and gain life experience before pursuing a career as a therapist.  I obtained an undergraduate degree in Communications and worked in arts and design for several years before circling back to my dream of becoming a therapist.

Now, after a Bachelors degree in psychology, and a Master’s degree in psychotherapy, I feel so privileged to help clients navigate all the hard parts about being a human in our modern world.

I get how challenging relationships, mental health struggles, and just trying to be a human in this world can feel. I have had my own experiences with anxiety and depression, and learned I am neurospicy fairly recently (though I had suspected it for a while!).

I would be honoured to be a part of your journey! Let's chat to see if we are a good fit.

Peaceful Reading

We are a good fit to work together if ...

... you are experiencing the following:

burnout from work, caregiving, or other life stressors

anxious or avoidant attachment behaviours

difficulty setting boundaries

challenges saying "no"

low self-confidence

stressful life changes like divorce, breakups, or job loss

issues regulating strong emotions like anger, sadness, or anxiety

feeling stuck and unsure about where you are going

low mood, low motivation, or depression

you need help navigating relationships

How do I help?

I focus  on helping clients explore their emotions on a deep level. This includes understanding how and why they show up, and how clients can learn to support and validate their difficult feelings.

I specialize in assisting clients understand their relationships and attachment styles. I use Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients navigate their relational challenges, and become more confident.

I work with both the brain and the body to help clients find a sense of safety and comfort. This includes polyvagal-informed somatic techniques.

What can you expect from therapy with me?

I am down-to-earth and warm. You can count on my complete non-judgmental support and my genuine desire to get to know you on a deep level.

I will always collaborate with you on the therapeutic process to ensure that your needs are being met. Everyone has unique needs and goals in therapy - I want to ensure that we are making progress towards yours. Your time and investment is valuable!

I have a pretty good sense of humour and an informal style. I am told that this helps clients feel comfortable with me. Feel like swearing? Totally ok! Do you need to cry? Go for it—all your feelings are welcome.

I am a therapist,
but I am also a human.

Outside of work, I love being in nature, gardening, sewing, knitting, playing guitar and singing (I was in two bands!), urban photography, board games and checking out restaurants with friends.

These days, you can find me playing volleyball and fantasizing about my future flower garden (usually not at the same time though) to keep the winter blues at bay.

My core values include integrity, openness, kindness, personal growth, and creativity.
